The cyanotype is an old monochrome negative photographic process that yields prints in a deep blue, Prussian blue.
The manual process (choice of light, exposure time, paper texture, material, plant baths) then influences the final result and makes each print a unique work.
I am Mélinda Blanchet. The need to create has always deeply animated me. Through movement first, which led me to my profession as a dance teacher for many years. Today a photographer since 2010, I shape images the way one writes a poem: with sensitivity and emotion. Jack-of-all-trades, I enjoy exploring different modes of expression: drawing, writing, painting, cyanotype... No matter the method, each of my creations arises from intuition. Driven by the desire to awaken an inner echo, to leave a delicate imprint, creation becomes then visceral.
