Armand Meffre (1929–2009) French actor and painter.
- Spring 1999
Iconic actor of theater and cinema, Armand Meffre acted under the direction of major filmmakers alongside Philippe Noiret, Jean Rochefort or Gérard Depardieu.
Trained in painting with master André Lhote, he developed a sensitive, luminous, and deeply humane body of work. His canvases, imbued with tenderness and poetry, reveal a deeply human gaze, between restrained emotion and sincere simplicity. A complete artist, each painting tells a story and moves with its authenticity.
