From evening classes to the beaux-arts, to applied arts, Alex Verdenne begins with formal drawing, with academic art at the dawn of the 1990s. But very quickly he chooses to free himself from it because normality is not in his DNA. "The painter must cultivate imagination." He joins the world of the street, that of graffiti. Spray painting completes his artistic education. From this budding art, he acquires a sure and precise gesture, mastery of a quick stroke, painting freed from tridimensionality, chromatic flamboyance, simplification of a composition, a different look.
