Magnificent and rare bas-relief icon depicting the famous Nicopeia Virgin (Madonna of Victory, protector of Venice), entirely handmade in the mid-20th century by the prestigious glassworks house Vetreria Estevan Rossetto in Murano (Venice, Italy).
The piece bears the authentic signature engraved in the solid mass at the bottom left of the structure: “ROSSETTO - MURANO”. This signature guarantees the piece’s provenance and its origin from one of the most respected master glassmaker workshops on the island.
As with all my items put up for auction on this site, this marvel has undergone no cleaning (only dusting) or modification since it was purchased.
