A special and decorative object, fully realized in the characteristic deep green tones of malachite.
This elegant obelisk stands on a richly built, architectural plinth and is composed of carefully polished malachite sections.
The combination of the slender obelisk form, the stepped base, and the decorative elements around the plinth gives the piece a classical and monumental appearance.
The malachite displays a very attractive natural pattern with flowing bands, concentric patterns, and various shades of emerald green to dark green. Because of the different stone patterns, the object looks different from every angle.
The polished surfaces beautifully bring out the color and texture of the malachite. The base also features finely drawn parts with a more organic and fine-mesh pattern, adding a lot of detail to the piece.
The piece originates from Idar-Oberstein, Germany, internationally known for its long tradition in gemstones, minerals, and lapidary, and was purchased from a specialized gemstone wholesale.
