Continuing the Zen Statues by Lou Ma Ho, MOON pursues the same quest.
Modeled in the image of the Moon, it bears its reliefs, its craters and its scars. Under the light, it does not shine on its own. It reflects light.
Like our satellite, it exists fully only because it receives light from elsewhere.
The body, black, smooth and almost immaterial, seems to vanish into darkness. All attention is drawn to this suspended sphere, like a celestial body above the horizon.
Verticality becomes a link between earth and sky, between matter and infinity.
Facing the artwork, the visitor is invited to lift their gaze. This simple gesture reverses our relationship with the world. For a moment, daily life fades away in favor of a broader scale, where man regains his rightful place: tiny, fragile.
Like all of Lou Ma Ho's works, MOON does not seek to impose an answer. It opens a silence. And in that silence, each person can rediscover their own light.
