Artistic description:

Coastal scene by Antonio Moreno Corbellas focused on a small group of boats beached and anchored along the shore. The composition presents in the foreground a rounded boat, depicted with energetic brushstrokes and abundant paint texture, acting as the main focal point of the work.

Behind it follow other vessels that visually lead toward the horizon and add depth to the composition. The vertical mast of one of the boats provides a striking counterpoint to the horizontal expanse of the sea and the coastline.

The artist builds the scene with free, quick, highly expressive brushwork, with accumulations of material that give relief and dynamism to the surface. Whites, light blues, ochers, yellows, and reddish tones combine to convey the luminous intensity characteristic of a Mediterranean coastal landscape.
