Augsburg: Joseph Wolffische Buchhandlung, 1778.

18th-century German edition of the Psalms of David, translated and annotated by the Jesuit scholar and orientalist Ignaz Weitenauer (1709–1783).

Beautiful contemporary full leather binding with raised bands, leather title labels and rich gilt decoration. Attractive patterned endpapers and painted red page edges.

Condition: Very good for its age. Solid binding with age-related rubbing and some wear/loss to the spine. Interior clean and well preserved.
