Splendid and imposing figurative sculpture in cast bronze, finely patinated, by the renowned Italian sculptor Filippo Antonio Cifariello (1864–1936), one of the most prestigious masters of Neapolitan verist sculpture at the end of the nineteenth and the early twentieth century.
The work depicts a bust of a common man with an expressive face carved by time and a characteristic headdress. The modeling is of the highest plastic quality, rich in vigor and anatomical verismo, typical of the artist's language.
