Natsume - Wood

Magnificent and authentic Natsume (small traditional Japanese tea vessel used for chanoyu / tea ceremony), made by master craftsman Ohi Kōunsai (大井好雲斎), born in 1940 in Kanazawa.
A superb collectible piece from the great tradition of Kaga-makié. The body and lid feature refined lacquer work in warm, deep tones, enhanced by delicate floral motifs, with a textured interior and superb reflections characteristic of the artist's craftsmanship.
