As with many of this type, the dust cover is difficult to find due to the fragility of the plexiglass fittings of the hinges; this model has the cover virtually perfect with only a small defect on the rear right corner as evident from the highlighted photo. This SL-Q3 has been completely cleaned of the old and now useless lubricating grease with the help of cotton swabs dipped in 70% isopropyl alcohol; subsequently, on the mechanical parts that come into contact, a white lithium grease was applied. It has the direct-drive motor that was initially used also in the more famous and expensive SL-1200 mkII version. As seen in the photos, the platter has some aesthetic imperfections due to age, but overall it is in excellent condition. Complete with the original instruction manual and ground RCA cables. There is something simple, humble and reliable about this turntable that just works and that’s enough. The Technics SL-Q3 will be meticulously packed and insured for shipping.
