Vintage lime green bottle vase in opaline glass with a full white interior, hand-blown with a pontil mark, attributed to Wood Brothers Glass Co. circa 1970, in a Scandinavian mid-century design, 25 cm high with a 9.5 cm diameter, origin Europe, in good condition with minor signs of aging and spots.
Description from the seller
Beautiful vintage designer vase in a striking lime green, opaline glass with a solid white interior and an elegant, wide collar.
The bottom features an authentic pontil mark, proof of artisanal hand-blown glass.
This specific model and the bright green color are strongly attributed to the English glassmaker Wood Brothers Glass Co. from the 1970s. In terms of aesthetics, the vase also fits perfectly into the Mid-Century Modern / Pop-Art tradition of Scandinavian (Kastrup Holmegaard Otto Brauer) glassware from the same period."
Mid-Century Modern / Pop-Art
Origin: England (Attributed to Wood Brothers Glass Co., ca. 1970) Technique: Hand-blown double-layer opaline glass (cased glass)
Condition: In very nice vintage condition, with no chips or cracks.
