The lot consists of a small pocket watch with a case back worked in floral motifs, partly in 18 Kt gold and partly in silver, except for the inner protective case which is metal, as well as the revised and functioning movement. The hands move by pressing the button beside the crown (a system used until 1850, after which moving the hands required simply raising the crown). The watch is supplied with a mechanism that can be secured not only by spring clasps but also by a safety chain, transforming it into a primitive wristwatch with a fabric strap. The originality of this solution makes it particularly interesting for collectors. I have finally added an 800 silver chatelaine finely worked with floral designs on the clasps and with rope-like links, weight 7.5 g, length 35 cm.
