I am a Plastic Artist born in Havana (Cuba) where I graduated with a Fine Arts degree from the prestigious Provincial Academy of Fine Arts of San Alejandro. There I held several solo and group exhibitions, and some of my works have reached private collections not only in Cuba but also in various countries around the world such as Portugal, the United States, France, Spain, Mexico, and Brazil.

Since 2006 I have resided in Madrid (Spain), where I have continued studying Fine Arts at different academies such as the C10 Academy and the prestigious “Madrid Academy of Art.” This has consolidated my training as an artist who navigates across different painting styles, capable of both figurative, realistic, and concrete art as well as abstract, expressionist, and surreal art with total imaginative freedom.

Blue Eruption

With this work, created in 2026, I continue my immersion in pure abstraction, exploring the mysteries of creation and the forces that govern the cosmos. This canvas evokes a universal Genesis, the clash and communion between the creator fire and the vastness of the void. The abstract forms rise with almost sacred mysticism, resembling a great pyre or a mountain of light emerging from cosmic depths. The celestial spheres floating in the composition, one trapped in a diamond-bright flash, act as newborn stars, witnesses of a spiritual energy in constant transformation. It is an invitation to contemplate origin, passion, and the subtle balance between chaos and harmony.

Painted in acrylic on canvas, the work is defined by a duality of pictorial gestures thanks to the versatility of this medium. In the central and lower areas, I have taken advantage of the quick drying and the consistency of acrylic to sculpt a dense, earthy white texture with a spatula, simulating an eruption of solid energy or a snowy summit that defies the flames. Conversely, the flows surrounding it unfold with fluid brushstrokes, soft glazes, and ethereal diffusions, capturing the upward movement of fire and cosmic gas.

The color palette presents a bold and vibrant contrast of temperatures. The heart of the painting is dominated by a pure, thick white that radiates light, breaking through a sea of incandescent cadmium reds, intense oranges, and fire yellows. This overflowing warmth clashes masterfully with the intrusion of cobalt blues and ultramarine blues on the flanks, injecting a cold, cosmic dimension. The entire set is suspended and enhanced by a background of deep blacks, giving the canvas monumental presence and awe-inspiring spatial depth.
