Description from the seller

Carlos Rivera Lauría (Santa Fe, 1951)
Composition with birds
Ceramics/porcelain with gilded finish

Refined sculpture by the Argentine artist Carlos Rivera Lauría, dedicated to one of the most characteristic subjects of his oeuvre: birds, a symbol of freedom, travel and migration.

The composition depicts several birds gathered in an ascending movement, shaped with soft and essential forms. The golden, reflective surface enhances the plasticity of the figures and creates evocative effects as the light changes.

The technique should not be simplified as mere “gold plating”: in the artist’s recent gilded works, porcelain/ceramics with the application of liquid gold is documented, even in double layers, after firing. In 2026 his bird sculptures with a double layer of gold were exhibited in Punta del Este.

A contemporary work with strong decorative presence, representative of Rivera Lauría’s research and suitable for both collectors and prestigious interiors.
