Up for auction today is a highly rare and historical German-system oboe crafted by the legendary German master woodwind maker Oskar Oehler in Berlin (active late 19th century to 1936). While Oehler is universally famous for his revolutionary modifications to the clarinet, his workshop produced a very limited number of premium custom flutes, bassoons, and oboes. * Maker's Mark: The original workshop stamp "O. Oehler Berlin" with his signature emblem is clearly visible and crisp on the upper joint, lower joint, and bell.
