Serpentiform ring - Cobra - Cultured pearl - Ancestral protection - Evoker of purity and preciousness
An imposing and singular ring, remarkable for its abundant material work and the contrast. The band takes the shape of a snake, notably evoking a cobra, whose body coils elegantly around the central pearl as if to protect it. The work is particularly decorative: the entire surface of the snake features a fine relief imitating scales, giving the jewel a lot of texture and depth.
The head of the snake, carefully molded and polished, is enhanced with small red/pink stones at the eyes, providing a delicate contrast with the golden tone of the metal and the bright white of the pearl.
The openwork interlacings visible on the sides extend the snake’s sinuous movement and give the ring a sculptural silhouette that is particularly original.
On this ring, the snake’s body coils around a cultured pearl, giving the impression that it envelops and protects it. This composition can thus symbolically evoke the protection of a treasure, wisdom, the cycle of transformation, and renewal.
The combination of the white pearl, traditionally evoking purity and preciousness, with the powerful figure of the serpent endows this creation with a dimension that is both animalistic, spiritual, and symbolic.
