Leandro Olano presents Mirada Prestada, an original oil painting from 2026, a portrait in expressionist style, 55.5 by 35 cm, signed by hand and shipped with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Borrowed Gaze. The eye that is visible on her is the same color and almost the same shape as the one on the bird — as if the vision had been borrowed between the two figures. It’s the same device of "shared eyes" that you already used in the previous piece, so this title builds series continuity without repeating the reference to Argos, which here would not fit: this bird does not read as a peacock.
Alternatives: Burning Plumage (if you prefer prioritizing the palette, warmer and Fauvist-like than the first work) or The Gesture of Silence (if you want to place the emphasis on the hand brought to the chin).
With "Borrowed Gaze":
There is a single human eye in this painting, and it is almost identical to that of the enveloping bird: same amber, same shine. The bird’s head, resolved in blues and deep purples, frames the scene from above; the female face is instead built with a Fauvist palette of yellows, magentas and cyan that does not imitate the skin but its emotional temperature. The hand brought to the chin adds a gesture of reserve that balances the chromatic intensity of the rest of the canvas.
Artwork by Leandro Olano, completely handmade.
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: 55.5 x 35 cm
Authorship: 100% handmade
Certificate: Certificate of authenticity included
Shipping: Unstretched, in a professional transport tube for maximum protection
