The 1988 Bandol red from the thematic series devoted to Paul Gauguin is part of the famous collection "The Impressionists", produced at the time by the La Roque Cooperative Cellar (under the entity S.C.A. La Roque).

This special cuvée is distinguished by its collector labels reproducing masterpieces by the famous painter Gauguin, making each bottle a sought-after object for both wine enthusiasts and art collectors.

Each bottle features a different label reproducing famous paintings by Paul Gauguin (notably his landscapes of Arles or his portraits).
The wooden box engraved with the series’ motif is also present in the background

Descriptive:
From left to right, (photo 8), here are the masterpieces illustrating your series:
1. Aha oe feii? (What, you’re jealous?) – Painted in 1892 in Tahiti.
2. Portrait of the Artist with the Hat – His famous self-portrait from 1893.
3. It is The Blue Trees (also subtitled Your turn will come, my beauty!), an oil on canvas painted by Paul Gauguin in November 1888.
4. The Alyscamps – Landscape of Arles painted in 1888, during his turbulent lodging with Van Gogh.
5. Still Life with Laval’s Profile – Painting from 1886 with an anthropomorphic pot sculpted by Gauguin.
6. Te Aa no Areois (The Seed of Areoi) – Iconic portrait of his Tahitian companion Vahine, painted in 1892.

The wooden box is damaged but entirely original, (photos 74 to 78).

The bottles are in very good condition for their age, 38 years old!
