Emmanuela Zavattaro - Melt

Melt (to melt) investigates the theme of transformation as a natural, non-traumatic passage. The figure emerges with delicacy, while colors dissolve, run, and fuse with the background: the face remains, but the form changes. The melting is not loss, but transition. Identity is not denied: it evolves. The drips, the transparencies, and the painted layers render visible an inner movement, where changing is not “evil,” but simply necessary in order to continue to exist.

Emmanuela Zavattaro is an Italian self-taught artist, active in the national and international exhibition scene. She works mainly with acrylics and mixed media, combining color, texture, and expressive drips to give shape to figures suspended between reality and imagination. Her research centers on the body, perception, and transformation, with particular attention to accessibility and multisensoriality. Her works are present in private collections in Italy and abroad; she has exhibited in galleries, independent spaces, and institutional contexts, developing projects also dedicated to the visually impaired and blind public.
