Description of the Ring
We are faced with a jewel of great value, a ring model "Contrarié" (often defined in Toi et Moi style, very romantic and elegant), made in 18-carat white gold (title 750) for a total weight of 4.10 grams.
The design is asymmetrical and highlights two extraordinary main stones, accompanied by a surround of diamonds:
Natural Emerald: The protagonist stone is a magnificent emerald pear-cut (teardrop) of 2.63 carats. It comes from Zambia, a renowned origin for emeralds, and presents a splendid bluish-green tone at medium saturation. As reported in the Adamas certificate (NH.jpg), it has undergone a moderate oiling treatment, a practice absolutely common and accepted for this gem.
IGI Diamond: The other end of the ring hosts a natural round brilliant-cut diamond of 0.50 carats, accompanied by a rigorous IGI certificate (MMM.jpg). It is a gem of very high quality: it boasts a color E (Exceptional White), clarity VS1 (inclusions very small, invisible to the naked eye) and perfect proportions (Excellent cut).
Surrounding Diamonds: To complete the piece, the emerald is surrounded by a pavé of natural diamonds for a further 0.25 carats (the total diamonds are 0.75 ct). These brilliant stones are also of excellent quality, with color D/E/F and clarity VVS/VS.
