Painting attributed to Giò Bartolena (1866–1942), depicting a still life with roses, executed in oil on panel.
The work measures 30 × 14.5 cm and is set in a carved and gilded wooden frame.
The work bears the signature “Giò Bartolena” at the lower right. The floral subject is consistent with the artist’s reported production. The piece features an energetic chromatic range, a clearly visible signature, and a notable decorative presentation.
Documentation:
the previous gallery Sarno catalog entry is available, together with photographic documentation of the work, of the signature, and of the back. No authenticity certificate or archive/catalog raisonné entry appears in the available documentation.
Conditions:
the painting is presented as documented in the photographs. The carved and gilded wooden frame shows some losses of the gilding, particularly visible on the bottom part. The back of the support is partially covered by papers and tape, which have not been removed.
The work is sold in the condition in which it is found, as documented in the photographs.
