Binding:

Elegant half-red morocco binding with corners, signed Janssens. Spine with raised bands decorated with gold fleurons, with author, title and date gilded. Covers faced with a remarkable polychrome marble paper predominately red, blue, green and yellow.

The work is kept in a matching rigid slipcase, also clad in the same marble paper and edged in red. The whole forms a particularly decorative artisanal creation.

Condition:

Very good overall condition. Sturdy binding, bright colors and well-preserved gilding. Interior clean, with only the natural age-related marks. Case showing possible minor signs of handling.
