Antique French ship barograph dating from 1900–1920, with a wooden display case and glass panels, made by Richard Frères Paris (RF 18001) from glass and wood, in good condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
A beautiful antique French barograph (recording barometer) made by the renowned house Richard Frères in Paris (8, Impasse Fessart).
At the top of the case: Richard Frères Paris, crossed flags.
On the brass section the serial number 18001 and the RF Brevete, SGDG approval mark.
Housing: Wooden display cabinet with glass panels and a copper handle.
Beautiful patina on the copper/brass and the woodwork. The mechanical wind-up mechanism currently runs too fast and probably needs adjustment/maintenance.
Included are a paper chart roll and a winding key.
Probably late 19th century or early 20th century.
A wonderful decorative and scientific collectible for the enthusiast of nautical instruments, antiques or meteorology.
Many photos added so it can be assessed well. Photos are part of the description.
The barograph is very carefully packed, registered and insured shipped with a track and trace code.
See my other lots as well and possibly save on shipping costs.
Not shipped to the United States.
