Giuseppe Fortunato, a renowned contemporary artist whose career began early, his first overseas exhibition in 1983 at the age of only 27.
A turning point in his career occurred in the 1980s with Assempaforismo.
Towards the end of the 1980s, he created the IMAGES movement together with other Abruzzo artists.
In 2013 he founded the Giuseppe Fortunato Foundation, dedicated to archiving and sharing his artistic legacy.
Fortunato's artistic career has been marked by his exploration of deep, non-superficial emotions.
He achieved early success in Italy and broadened his reach in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe and in the USA.
As a painter, sculptor and designer, Giuseppe Fortunato's work has evolved toward a surreal aesthetic, eventually arriving at his characteristic "Colate" style: colored and flowing enamels applied to large flat surfaces.
