Figurine - Hunting duck decoy - Wood

Atmospheric vintage wooden duck, fully hand-carved and polychrome hand-painted. The plumage is richly rendered in black, dark brown, white and warm earth tones, with clear brush strokes and incised details. The depiction seems inspired by a Carolina duck / Wood Duck (Aix sponsa), executed in a strongly stylized Folk Art form.

Likely European, second half of the 20th century, estimated circa 1970–1990. The object is unsigned; exact maker and country of origin are unknown.
