Candlestick - Brass - Candle poker - 90 cm

Large antique church candlestick in brass, of handsome size, resting on an elegant tripod base ending in three ball feet. The stem consists of several turned and moulded sections, with a succession of baluster shapes. The upper part features a wide cup and a long central spike intended to hold a large altar candle. The object shows a natural antique patina, with a few nicks, traces of oxidation, and signs of wear corresponding to its age. Several joint areas and old welds are visible. The base is hollow and also shows an old internal patina. A handsome religious decorative object, very imposing at about 90 cm in height, suitable for both a sacred art collection and a distinctive interior decoration. Estimated dating: first half of the 20th century, probably around 1900–1930.
