Fine set of 20 volumes of Jules Verne, published in Geneva by Éditions Famot and distributed by François Beauval in 1979.

Decorative edition made on deluxe bouffant paper, with numerous illustrations reproduced from Hetzel editions of 1897.

Red publisher bindings, richly decorated with gilt motifs and titles, with black title pieces and polychrome illustrations on the front boards. An especially decorative set for a library.

Edition not numbered. This is an illustrated reissue and not an original edition.

Condition: good for age. Bindings sturdy and interiors clean. Some signs of wear, light wear and natural yellowing of the paper and edges. A small deterioration is visible at the bottom of one volume.

Because the bindings are still very tight, the volumes have not been fully opened to avoid damaging the hinges. All titles are visible on the photographs of the spines. A title page and several interior pages representative of this edition are shown in the photographs.
