Minotaur – Sculptural bust in patinated plaster with bronze effect

A sculpture depicting the Minotaur, reinterpreted through a strongly sculptural and contemporary language. The figure features a powerful human anatomy united with the bull head, crafted with particular attention to the expressiveness of the gaze, the tension of the face, and the modeling of the musculature.

The work is made of patinated plaster with a bronze color, with a deliberately irregular finish that creates chromatic and chiaroscuro variations similar to those of an ancient metal surface. The patination, in tones of brown bronze and brunito, accentuates the volumes and gives the sculpture an archaeological yet contemporary character.

The subject recalls the myth of Asterion, the Minotaur of the labyrinth, not only as a monstrous creature but as a deeply human figure, suspended between strength, isolation, and vulnerability.
