Albert-Buisson (François) and Derrey Jacques, original edition and first printing, limited to 150 copies. 1 volume in-4, in sheets under a cover with printed and folded dust jacket and the original cream-colored cardboard slipcase. Illustrations: 7 hors-texte historical portraits magnificently engraved in the original burin by Jacques Derrey (the first Grand Prix de Rome for engraving in 1937); each print is kept under its tissue guard. One of the very rare copies, printed on large pure rag paper. Copy No. 29, among the very first headmost copies. The whole is in absolute freshness, with no foxing or browning.
