Authentic Moorcroft Pottery vase from England.

Patron: Columbine Leaf and Berry variant, ovoid thick form.

Artist: Walter Moorcroft, 1994.

Signature initials WM painted in green under the base.

Marks under the base clearly visible in photos: MOORCROFT MADE IN ENGLAND, plus an eye painted, plus initials Kg painter of the tube-lined, plus B painter of the color, plus WM green. The eye mark is the 1994 characteristic mark.

Vase shape: ovoid bulbous, thick neck, flared rim, widened foot and broader than the pedestal trumpet model.

Height: 25 to 26 cm, measured with a yellow tape in photo 1.

Opening: 8.5 cm diameter, as seen in top-down photo.

Body: maximum diameter about 16 to 17 cm; base about 12 cm.

Decoration: hand-painted tube-lined enamel, flambé glaze, bright blue flame that shifts to violet; stylized trees in the mid-ground on a pale pink-orange background; buttons and berries at the base in green and red; 360-degree decoration.

Technique: tube-lined enamel with flambé glaze, brilliant.

Material: faience enamel.

Condition: good vintage condition with no chips, no cracks in the enamel under the base; no restoration. Bright, vivid colors.

Provenance: former private Belgian collection, Montpellier, same lot as another Moorcroft; final dimension 28.5 cm.

Variant: thicker, rarer when sold with the thinner-model lot.
