As night falls represents the moment when the day begins to slowly bid farewell. A woman dressed in red stands beside the balcony with a glass of wine in her hand, while the landscape unfolds before her under a light that still lingers.

The scene speaks of the pleasure of stopping, of those small moments that do not need explanation. The garden, the roses and the vegetation build an intimate space, while the figure seems to simply surrender to time and to contemplation.

The intense red of the dress dialogues with the deep greens and the different shades of blue, creating a composition of strong chromatic contrasts. The bright yellow of the sky introduces a point of light that concentrates the sensation of a day about to end.

In this work I am interested in turning a daily scene into a small refuge: a glass, a landscape and a few minutes in which nothing seems to happen, but in which perhaps the most important thing happens. To wait, simply, while night falls.
