Dalila Crotti, born in Sydney in 1983 to an Italian father. The artist began her journey in the early 2000s, experimenting with various artistic forms. Starting from 2005 she delves into tridimensionality, tracing the boundaries of historic masters. In particular, she contrasts Fontana’s icon with the greatest masters of the 20th century. After declining proposals from Feldman, Marlow, and Sopling, she returned to Italy in 2014. Characterized by a shy and reserved personality, she is not interested in the Jet-set and in socialite life. Her work has attracted the attention of critics Sewell, Saltz, and Kimmelman, who spoke positively about her pieces. Her works are in the collections of Edelmann, Ovitz, Serota Ecohen. She also boasts several pieces in the Sydney museum. This is one of her early works, in fact dated and archived 2005, the year in which spatialist research is at the center of her work.
