Jeu de Boules, Sport Boules, Bocce, Petanque - 1910

Three antique boules (boules cloutées) with a rare (new) book (French language) about the history of Jeu de Boules. See a few pages. With a special chapter on the making of boules. The 3 boules are boxwood boules with hundreds of small nails driven into them. They have been used, but they are mint. Two boules have a square with copper nails as a identifying mark. The other boule has a copper plate. Each boule weighs about 1.2 kg. The book (24 by 30 cm) has 176 pages and is printed in waterless offset and weighs 1.4 kg.
