Description from the seller

Fascinating advertising manifesto dedicated to the famous egg liqueur VOV, produced by the Pezziol company of Padua.

Note well: This is a later edition probably from the 1970s.

The composition was created in 1922 by Leonetto Cappiello, one of the most important and influential international masters of early 20th century advertising posters.

The protagonist is an elegant character inspired by the figure of Pierrot, dressed entirely in black and depicted while presenting two bottles of VOV. The bright yellow background, the large red headline, and the rich composition of grapes and eggs create an image that is instantly recognizable and extraordinarily effective in advertising.

An iconic work of Italian graphic design, characterized by Cappiello’s unmistakable style, capable of transforming a commercial product into a theatrical, dynamic, and memorable figure. At the bottom the artist’s signature with the date 1922 and the Royal House emblem are visible.

Particularly decorative poster, ideal for collectors of historical advertising, Italian liqueurs, enology, vintage graphics, Art Déco and 20th-century poster art.

The condition and any signs of aging are clearly documented in the photographs, which are an integral part of the description.
