Splendid and imposing oil on canvas work by master Antonio Sciacca, of generous dimensions 90x65 cm.
The painting represents a perfect synthesis of the artist's poetics in which figurative sacredness and historical memory dialogue with the languages of international contemporary art.
On the intense black background, to the right emerges the stylized and hydraulic face of a sculpture of devotional/wooden inspiration, with a solemn profile and hypnotic eyes, a hallmark of Sciacca's painting.
On the left, in clear chromatic and conceptual contrast, stands a vivid fuchsia balloon-swan creature that recalls the iconic Neo-Pop Aesthetic of Jeff Koons.
Sciacca's painting mastery is evident in the mirrored effect and in the points of light laid on oil to render the synthetic and glossy material of the balloon, contrasted with the warm, patina and almost wooden texture of the Bust.
The work is signed at the bottom left on the front.
