An elegant vintage Omega rectangular wristwatch from the Art Deco period, dating to approximately the 1930s. The watch features a slim rectangular Staybrite stainless-steel case with stepped architectural lines, a signed silver-tone dial, stylised black Arabic numerals, an Art Deco minute track, blued steel hands and a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The inner case back is signed “Omega – Fab. Suisse – Swiss Made”, marked “Acier Staybrite” and numbered 8964549. It houses a Swiss manual-winding mechanical movement protected by its original metal dust cover. The watch is fitted with a later black leather strap and non-original buckle. The dial has developed considerable natural patina, discolouration, spotting and surface wear, while the case, crystal, crown and strap show scratches and other signs of age and previous use. The service history is unknown; therefore, a professional inspection and maintenance are recommended before regular use. Timekeeping accuracy and water resistance are not guaranteed.
