Before the ruptures, the wars and the destinies that would separate them, they were simply four on the same road.
Team 7 The Beginning returns to that precise moment in Naruto where everything still seemed possible: Naruto runs ahead with all his energy, Sasuke moves forward closed off and focused, Sakura already tries to find her place between the two, while Kakashi follows from behind, a book in hand, as if nothing could truly reach him.
I wanted to transform this familiar image into a travel scene that feels almost timeless. The composition reuses the codes of a Japanese print reimagined: massive pins, flowers blown by the wind, a large red disk, Konoha's architecture, monumental reliefs and the faces of the Hokage carved into the mountain. The manga meets here traditional, patinated, textured imagery, as if Team 7 already belonged to an ancient legend.
What interests me is not only gathering four cult characters. It is to recall what they represented before their trajectories grew darker: an imperfect team, rivalries, clumsiness, an unreadable teacher, and that very particular sensation of the first missions.
For those who grew up with Naruto, this scene does not tell the end of a story. It returns exactly to its beginning. And perhaps that is why it moves so much: we already know everything that will happen, but here, for a few seconds, they are still walking together.

Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube.

On receipt, remove it carefully and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours so it resumes its natural shape before framing.

ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in hardware or home décor stores.

Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant and economical, they showcase the artworks perfectly.

SKE is a self-taught French artist with a jack-of-all-trades approach who grew up in the culture of the 80s/90s, inspiring a large part of his artworks.
