Description from the seller

BREITLING VINTAGE CHRONOGRAPH PANDA – VALJOUX 7734 – 17 JEWELS – HAND WIND – DATE – SWISS MADE – CIRCA 1970s

Magnificent vintage Breitling manual-wind chronograph, from the golden era of Swiss sports chronographs in the seventies.

This attractive specimen features a stainless steel cushion/tonneau case and a spectacular Panda dial, combining a sunray silver background with two black sub-dials with concentric decoration.

The dial incorporates applied indices, peripheral tachymeter scale, date at 6 o’clock, and a distinctive orange central chronograph hand that gives it a pronounced sporty character.

Inside lies the prestigious Valjoux 7734, a mechanical manual-wind movement with 17 jewels, approximately 45 hours of power reserve and a frequency of 18,000 vibrations per hour. The movement in this example is signed BREITLING WATCH LTD.

Bi-compax configuration with small seconds at 9 o’clock and the chronograph 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock. Date window at 6 o’clock.

Approximate measurements: case about 39 mm without crown; lug width 18 mm. Exact measurements should be physically confirmed with the caliber.

The watch preserves an attractive vintage condition, showing scratches, marks, patina and wear consistent with its age. The dial retains a superb overall presence, while the peripheral ring, hands and certain elements show visible aging, all of which is documented in detail in the photographs.

Black 18 mm leather strap, apparently later.
