Buchheim used this poster when advertising his posters.
His experiences aboard a U-boat in World War II resulted in a book called 'Das Boot' and was later adapted into a film.
His collection of German Expressionist prints led to a museum 'Museum der Phantasie' in Bernried.
His artistic training culminated in this poster, which was published by his eponymous publishing house.
