"The Indigo Shadow Watcher"
In this piece, graphic precision meets organic fluidity. Executed through translucent layers, the work balances botanical illustration and the technique of Japanese woodblock printing Ukiyo-e, with the precision in defining the plant shapes and the bold flat composition.
The work presents a strong chromatic and formal contrast. The cat's yellow-orange fur, with its defined, elongated spots, becomes a structural element that intertwines with the density of the deep-blue leaves. The feline’s intense gaze transforms the scene from a simple naturalistic study into a silent narrative. The stylization of the plant elements and the flatness of the violet background invite reading the piece not as a realistic representation, but as a decorative and atmospheric exploration of the jungle environment, complemented by the feline in a theatrical and mysterious setting.
