"The Dream of the Ocean"
This piece plays with naïve, folkloric and mythical discourse, exploring the relationship between land, water and primal instinct. The work reflects on cosmic memory and the deep desires that dwell in the unconscious. Through a visual dialogue in sepia, brown and cream tones, the figure of the cat becomes a container that unites two worlds: the stellar cosmos of the upper night and a mythical lower ocean. The use of positive and negative spaces suggests a harmonious duality; the cat not only dreams or seeks the fish, but is made of it. The crescent moon and the stars surrounding the scene emphasize the idea of nature’s cyclic rhythm and the ancient mysteries that connect marine life with the stars.
