Atmospheric photograph by German-American photographer Fritz Henle (1909–1993), taken in China in 1935 on the road to the Ming Tombs.

The composition shows a monumental stone camel in a vast landscape, with further stone figures receding into the distance along the historic Sacred Way leading to the Ming Tombs near Beijing.
