Paris, Demonville, An XII – 1804.

An important medical work from the early 19th century, based on clinical observation and the opening of the bodies, that is, the post-mortem anatomical study aimed at relating the symptoms observed in life to the lesions found after death.
The content is particularly rich in medical and morphopathological observations: pulmonary diseases, peritonitis, fevers, epilepsy, paralysis, apoplexy, mania, hysteria, hypochondria, digestive diseases and numerous clinical observations.
Pagination :
* Tome I: CCXVI + 260 pages

The two volumes are bound in black half-leather, with gilt titles and volume numbers on the spine, marbled boards.
Old, good condition: bindings with wear and signs of use, foxing and time marks inside, some folds and small deformations of the paper visible in the photographs. The texts remain clearly legible and both volumes are present.
Beautiful set for a collector of the history of medicine, pathological anatomy, autopsy and clinical medicine of the early 19th century.
