Here we have a superb 18th Century oil on oak panel, Continental School however the artist has been influenced by the Barbizon school from France. This painting features a watermill with a cottage nearby. Figures are making their way along a narrow track. This lovely artwork excels in quality look at the reflection in the water how beautiful. The painting appears unsigned. A well balanced painting that would grace any wall in your home.
Provenance:
Comes with superb provenance as it was collected from a property opposite the Lincoln Cathedral due to the owners recently emigrating to France to live. The last three images show the view from the property, front facade and the drive away showing the Cathedral. A wonderful place.
In fairy good condition for its age. Please view the photographs as these form part of the description. The frame is a gift no compensation given if damaged in transit.
