Tin box - Blik - Can of coffee

Coffee storage tin, Art Deco, tin-plated metal.
Netherlands, early 20th century.

A beautiful round coffee tin with lid from the 1920s/1930s,
from a series that also included, among other things, sugar, rice, and tea tins.
This tin bears the word COFFEE three times amid decorative motifs.
The letters and the detailed decoration are rendered in light relief,
silvery on a green background.

Considering its age, the wear is still fairly modest: the edge of the lid
shows the many years of use, inevitably after so many years.
Height 18 cm, diameter 11 cm.
