Nicole Lubbers - Full of XL

Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country. She is known for her innovative and unconventional approach to art and works with various styles, techniques, and forms of imagery. In her work, color, movement, expression, and emotion play a major role. Themes such as resilience, strength, transformation, and overcoming challenges regularly inspire her creations.

Her international career has developed strongly in recent years. Lubbers was crowned Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro, and placed second at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. She was also named among the 100 best female artists in the world and recognized as a Master in Art.

Internationally, her work has been shown and planned for exhibitions in New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China, and Montecosaro, in addition to exhibitions in Dutch galleries.

A very notable highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. In addition, Nicole presents, together with artist Michael Lam, the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Two different artistic worlds come together to form a joint dialogue around movement, color, creativity, and transformation.

Delivery and presentation

The artwork is delivered unframed and without a stretcher frame. You will receive the canvas carefully rolled so you can decide how you want to present the artwork.

You can have the canvas framed or stretched by a professional framemaker on a stretcher frame.

Important when stretching: please note that for stretching the canvas you need at least 5 cm extra canvas on each side. This margin is necessary to fold and secure the canvas around the stretcher frame. Therefore, when determining the final size, allow for a minimum 5 cm extra margin on the top, bottom, left, and right sides.

In addition to her work as a visual artist, Nicole Lubbers is also known as a doll maker.
