Nicole Lubbers - One touch away XL

Nicole Lubbers is a Dutch visual artist from the eastern part of the country. She is known for her innovative and idiosyncratic approach to art and works with various styles, techniques and forms of imagery. In her work color, movement, expression and emotion play an important role. Themes such as resilience, strength, transformation and overcoming challenges regularly inspire her creations.

Her international career has developed strongly in recent years. Lubbers was crowned Artist of the Year 2024 at the Belgrade Biennale, received the Institutional Award of the Municipality of Montecosaro and placed second at the World Art Awards as Most Innovative Artist 2024. Additionally, she was listed among the 100 best female artists in the world and recognized as Master in Art.

Internationally her work has been seen and planned for exhibitions in New York, Venice, Florence, Belgrade, Belgium, China and Montecosaro, in addition to exhibitions in Dutch galleries.

A particular highlight is Beyond the Surface, a solo exhibition on Times Square in New York. In addition, Nicole presents together with artist Michael Lam the exhibition Harmony in Motion: Two Artists, One Vision. Two different artistic worlds come together and form a joint dialogue around movement, color, creativity and transformation.

Delivery and presentation

The artwork is delivered unframed and without a cradled canvas. You will receive the canvas carefully rolled, so you can decide how to present the artwork yourself.

You can have the canvas framed or mounted on a cradled frame by a professional framer.

Important when stretching: note that for stretching the canvas at least 5 cm of extra canvas is required on each side. This edge is necessary to be able to fold and secure the fabric around the cradled frame. Therefore, when determining the final size, allow for a minimum of 5 cm extra margin on the top, bottom, left and right.

In addition to her work as a visual artist, Nicole Lubbers is also known as a doll maker.
