Two-row Akoya cultured pearl necklace with an 18k yellow and white gold box clasp, 42 cm long, comprising 96 8 mm pearls in white with a light champagne tint.
Description from the seller
Two-row necklace of Akoya cultured pearls with an 18-karat bi-color gold clasp (yellow and white gold). Manufacturer mark: ZUCHT PERLEN HK 1918
The pearls display good luster, which in macro shots appears as clear, though not highly glossy metallic reflections. The nacre density seems solid, evident from the uniform light refraction of the surface. Upon closer inspection, the pearls show fine, age-related surface blemishes (Surface Blemishes) – slightly matte patches next to the shiny points, as typical and to be expected for natural pearls of this age. The shape and size of the pearls are well matched across both rows (Matching); smaller natural irregularities in the roundness and surface texture of individual pearls are noticeable upon close examination.
The necklace bears an original manufacturer's tag with the inscription "Zuchtperlen HK 1918", documenting the authenticity as cultured pearls.
