Magnificent traditional necklace from the Nagas tribes (Nagaland region, borders of India and Myanmar).
This collectible jewel is distinguished by a row of cylindrical and conical brass (or bronze) heavy pendants, hand-cast using the ancestral lost-wax casting technique.
Each metal element features a superb patina of age with a golden hue and incised geometric decorations at their base. The main strand is composed of old trade beads in irregular discoid shapes, dark in color (matte glass paste or terracotta), rhythmically interspersed with a few terracotta/orange-tinted beads.
The mounting is entirely original, made on a sturdy cord of twisted native textile fibers, ending with an artisanal brass hook clasp, typical of Naga craftsmanship.
